Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. These can be used to upgrade your armor, trinkets and weapons.
To calculate probabilities, item upgrades use a "upgrade pity". This system is designed to reduce the risk of losing money and offer a safety net in the event of an upgrade.
Armor
The item upgrader lets players upgrade the equipment level of their armor, trinkets and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the equipment by visiting an item upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. The stats of an item are also improved when upgrading it.
This NPC is found in every major city and is located at the edge of the square, near the teleport. The NPC can upgrade any armor, weapon, or trinket except for those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The device you use to apply an upgrade is a consumable item forever. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to a piece. If you try to do this, the previous upgrade will be replaced.
Upgrade your equipment is a great way to maximize the power of your gear and increase the damage, durability and overall power. For example, if you have new Benthic gear from War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be level 385 by default and can be upgraded to a higher level using [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades for your PvE gear are account-wide while upgrades for your PvP gear requires a specific currency, like [Valorstones or [Harbinger Crestsor [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade additional gear in an armor slot decreases following the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are an essential part of any successful character. They can be used to fend off the wrathful monster, take down an intruder, or win a target-shooting competition. Or they can simply hang on the wall. Whatever way you decide on using a particular weapon, you must be aware that it's possible to upgrade it and change according to your style of play.
The process of upgrading weapons is done by visiting a Blacksmith that has a Weapon Workbench. Located in the right part of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a good choice to upgrade your primary weapon. In general upgrading a weapon can increase its weapon level by 5. However it is the case for Azerite weaponry (see below) and other weapons that are special the item's ilvl increases by 15. Players can only have one upgrade in play at any one time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon which has another upgrade applied, it will fail and the weapon will revert to its original ilvl.
In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon, upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to boost the power of the weapon. Some upgrades will be passive while others will provide more damage, more powerful attacks, greater range or critical strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are rewarded when certain bosses of raid are defeated. Other upgrades can be added to weapons with Whetblades, which are rare items that allow you to unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.
When a weapon is upgraded the weapon will continue to receive additional upgrades in the event that the player has the proper upgrade materials and currency on hand. It is important to know that weapons are only able to reach ilvl 25, and no higher. As a result, players should only upgrade their weapons after they've accumulated the maximum number of upgrades through regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets offer a variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded like any other equipment through direct interaction with the Item Upgrader.
You can find an upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, first you must remove any weapons or armor. Once you have done that then, the NPC will appear with the red "Equipped" banner on his head.
If you select him, he will offer you the option to upgrade your weapon or armor. To achieve this, you must bring the required items and currency to the NPC. If you do this it, the NPC will upgrade your gear, boosting its stats by one level.

The Item Upgrader NPC can be located in various locations throughout the game. Locations are shown on the map. Certain NPCs only offer upgrades for specific types of equipment, while others allow you to upgrade any type of item. Certain NPCs offer additional benefits that are available for those who complete quests using them. The NPC at Shattering Rift gives players a new toy when they defeat the Ancient Beast. Similarly, the NPC at the Eastern Guard Tower offers a unique trinket for players who beat the Ancient Beast.
Set Pieces
A set piece is a pivotal scene that enhances a film and stays with viewers long after the credits roll. It can be a scene that involves action, emotion or simply a visual display. Set pieces are a staple of movie magic and must be executed with care to create the desired effect. Mission Impossible is a great example of how set pieces can have an impact on viewers.
Within professional soccer set pieces are any situation where the ball is officially returned to play through a kick or throw in. Corners and indirect free kicks, direct free kicks, and goal kicks are all part of this category. Teams can use these situations to their advantage by putting players in a position to receive the ball and forcing defenders to be alert and change their assignments in line with the situation. This could include crossing, aerial duels or different kinds of deliveries and of course, headed goals.
In the film industry the set piece is a crucial scene that requires serious logistical planning and considerable expense to execute. These scenes are considered essential to the overall story, and they cannot be changed or removed without compromising the quality of the entire film. A chase sequence, an explosion, or a car crash are all examples of memorable set-pieces.
Upgrading, also known as upping as it is usually called is the process of turning a normal unique, set, or rare item into an elite version of that identical base item. This is done by buying an upgrade component from the upgrade menu and then converting it into an upgraded base item.
This will unlock all the stats that had been locked behind the base requirement of the item or a maxed-out version. These increased stats are what makes the upgraded version of an item more valuable than its base counterpart. Below are the tables that list the defense rolls that are maximum for each upgraded version and their upgrade requirements.
Generally upgrading an item will increase its value, however there are exceptions. For instance the item may have inherent requirements that limit its use (take Whistan's shield for Facebook sorcs as an example), or the item has a low base stat that could be upp'd to get the perfect or highest roll, it will only be able to see limited usage and therefore gain only a small amount of value.
